Description:
Oracle9i Application Server Reports is vulnerable to a buffer overflow. By sending an overly long database name parameter to the rwcgi60 CGI script with the setauth method, a remote attacker can overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary commands on the system with elevated privileges.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Oracle Reports6i (6.0.8.19.0 or later) or Oracle9iAS Reports (9.0.2.0.1 or later), as listed in Oracle Security Alert #35. See References.
