Cisco IP Phone invalid StreamingStatistics request denial of service
| cisco-ipphone-streamingstatistics-dos (9142) |
Description:
Cisco IP Phone models 7910, 7940, and 7960 are vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by the improper validation of user-supplied input passed to the Web interface. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted URL request to the StreamStatistics script for an invalid stream ID of more than 32768 to cause the IP Phone to reboot. This would cause any existing connections to be lost and cause the IP Phone to become unavailable for a short period of time.

- Cisco, VoIP Phone CP-7910 3.1
- Cisco, VoIP Phone CP-7910 3.2
