OpenSSH Kerberos 4 TGT/AFS buffer overflow
| openssh-sshd-kerberos-bo (8896) |
Description:
The sshd daemon in OpenSSH is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, if sshd is compiled with Kerberos/AFS support and "Kerberos TGT Passing" or "AFS Token Passing" is enabled in the "sshd_config" file. A remote attacker can overflow a buffer and overwrite stack variables to execute arbitrary code on the system. Kerberos ticket and token passing is disabled by default.
Note: Only local attackers can exploit this vulnerability in versions later than 2.9.9.
