Description:

Microsoft Office Web Components (OWC) could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary script on the vulnerable system. A remote attacker using the Spreadsheet component in OWC 2000 and 2002 could create a malicious Web page that uses the setTimeout method in the ""=HOST()" formula to alter the Document Object Model (DOM) and execute arbitrary script on a victim's system, if the Web page is visited using Microsoft Internet Explorer.
