Description:

Cisco CallManager is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. By default, the Telephony Call Dispatch (TCD) service is enabled. This could lead to a memory leak, if a user fails to authenticate when using the Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) or if the CTI Framework (CTIFW) user is not configured.

Platforms Affected:

  • Cisco, Unified CallManager 3.0
  • Cisco, Unified CallManager 3.1

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of CallManager (3.1(3a)or later), as listed in Cisco Security Advisory 2002 March 27 17:00 UTC. See References.
