Description:

Ethereal is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the SMB dissector. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the application to crash or execute arbitrary code on the system.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of Ethereal (0.10.12 or later), available from the Ethereal Download Web page. See References.
