lv arbitrary program execution
| lv-program-execution (12017) |
Description:
lv could allow the execution of arbitrary programs. Several versions of lv read a .lv file in the current directory. A local attacker could place a malicious .lv file in a directory that the attacker has write access to, which could result in the execution of an arbitrary program on the vulnerable system, once the victim runs lv in this directory and uses the v (edit) command.
