Cisco IOS invalid ICMP redirects could reroute packets

Description:

Multiple Cisco devices running Cisco Internetwork Operating System Softwhasbeen disabled, a remote attacker could send an invalid ICMP redirect packet to the router to cause the router to stop sending packets outside of the local subnet or to forward packets to an attacker controlled gateway or a bogus gateway, which would allow the attacker to intercept all information that is being transmitted through the affected device.
