Description:
Opera is vulnerable to a denial of service attack, caused by a buffer overflow. By creating a malicious Java Applet that passes a long URL to the plugincontext.showDocument() function, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and cause the victim's Web browser to crash. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by hosting the malicious Java Applet on a Web site or by sending it to a potential victim within an HTML email.
