Description:
Caldera (SCO) OpenUnix is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. A local attacker with limited system privileges could issue an rcp of /proc to cause the system to become unstable and crash.
Platforms Affected:
- SCO, Caldera OpenUnix 8.0.0
- SCO, Caldera UnixWare 7.1.1
Remedy:
Apply the appropriate patch for your system, as listed in SCO Security Advisory CSSA-2002-SCO.41. See References.
