Jetty CGIServlet directory traversal could be used to execute commands

Description:
Jetty could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the Web server, caused by a vulnerability in the CGIServlet. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted URL request to the /cgi-bin/ directory containing "dot dot" sequences (\..\) to traverse directories and execute commands on the system or programs outside of the Web root directory.

Upgrade to the latest version of Jetty (4.1.1 or later), available from the Jetty Web site. See References.
