OSF/1 (Tru64) inc MH environment variable buffer overflow

Description:
OSF/1 (now Hewlett-Packard Tru64 UNIX) is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the inc mail utility. By inserting an overly long string in the MH environment variable before passing it to the inc utility, a local attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary commands on the system with root privileges.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of HP Tru64 Unix (5.1a or later), available from the Hewlett-Packard Web site. See References.
As a workaround, chmod u-s /path.to/inc.
