Description:

Trillian is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper validation of PRIVMSG commands received from an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) server. If a Trillian client connects to an attacker-controlled IRC server, the attacker could send a PRIVMSG command with a nickname of more than 206 characters to overflow a buffer and cause the victim's Trillian client to crash or execute arbitrary code on the system.
