Microsoft Virtual Machine (VM) XML methods can be accessed

msvm-xml-methods-access (10135) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

Microsoft Virtual Machine (VM) could allow a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to Extensible Markup Language (XML) support class methods using malicious Java applets. A remote attacker could create a malicious Java Applet that would call the XML support class and use it to pass user-supplied data to any function that the XML support class uses, some of which should only be accessible by trusted programs. This could allow the attacker to potentially gain complete control over the victim's system, depending on which function the data is being passed to. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by hosting the malicious Java Applet on a Web site or by sending it to a potential victim within an HTML email.
