Description:
Enterasys Networks (formerly Cabletron) SmartSwitch Router 8000 series are vulnerable to a denial of service attack. A remote attacker could port scan an affected router several times on ports 15077 and 15078 to cause the device to crash.
Platforms Affected:
- FirmwareDesign, Firmware E8.2.0.0
- FirmwareDesign, Firmware E8.3.0.4
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest firmware version for Enterasys SmartSwitch Router (E9.0.5.0 or later), available for registered customers from the Enterasys Networks Web site. See References.
