The ExploreZip worm came out a few months after $Melissa as a "copycat", but it is much, much more virulent. It not only spreads through e-mail, but also to all the computers it can find via Network Neighborhood.
The contents of the e-mail it sends:
Hi your name!
I received your email and I shall send you a reply ASAP.
Till then, take a look at the attached zipped docs.
bye
A file called "zipped_files.exe" will be attached. DON'T RUN IT!
Intrusions: WIN.INI-ExporeZip will attempt to spread to other computers by overwriting the WIN.INI file.
