One of the major purposes behind such progams are to play magic tricks on the victim and scare them. Some simple tricks that trojans support are: - Hide/show the Start menu, taskbar, desktop icons.
- Log off the victim or shutdown/restart the victim's machine.
- Play with display settings (resolution, colors, turning on/off the screen).
- Move the mouse and click on areas of the screen.
- Swap the meaning of the mouse-buttons, turn on mouse trails.
- Popup windows on the user's screen with annoying messages.
 - Open/close the CD-ROM door.
