Summary
An intuder is scanning systems with identd looking for possible user information.
Details
Ident, the identification protocol, allows a server to ask a client system for the local user name associated with a given network connection between the two systems. This is done by the server opening an Ident connection back to the client, and specifying the pair of port numbers (local and remote) for which it would like a user name report.
