This training program will provide the student with a basic understanding of some of the general principles of IT security. It is a 2-day course including discussions, demonstrations and exercises. The objective of this course is to provide overview of the underlying security principles behind many security methodologies and products, and introduce the factors that should be considered when implementing a security strategy within an organization.

Who Should Attend

The courseware assumes that the student is computer literate with at least one operating system, but has no prior knowledge of security issues. The intended audience for this course is newly appointed security officers, and managers who wish to learn about some of the fundamental issues relating to computer security.
